ChildWindow ShowDialog()

Nov 22, 2012 at 5:06 AM

Hi All,

I have noticed that the ChildWindow does not have a ShowDialog() method, and even if IsModal is set to true, code continues after the window is shown. I realize that this is by design but is there a workaround for this?

I have tried adding the ChildWindow into a Window and call the ShowDialog() of that window, but when setting the Window.Content to the ChildWindow it does not display.

Is there a possilble workaround?

Thanx,

Chrisjan

The ChildWindow must be a children of a Panel class.  Window is not a Panel.

Try add a Grid to your window's Content property and add th ChildWindow to this Grid.

The following issue has been created for the "blocking modal" behavior

Can't say it will be made, but we will analyze this.
