Intended update / release / patch cycle?

When this was under the care of the original creator Brian Lagunas, there was an active and ongoing update and patch cycle. Now that it has changed hands to XCEED, it seems that the development and bug-fixing has stagnated. There are many patch uploads, and even more issues logged.

What is XCEED's intended update, release, and patch cycle?

Is the current stagnate state (4 months without a commit) going to be the norm for this project?

Is it worth someone else forking this codebase to return it to an active community?

I'm just going to repost this part of the "Latest News" text from the project's home page, posted about two weeks ago. I have no further comment at the moment:

In July 2012, we expanded the team working on Extended WPF Toolkit. By September, we're aiming to start releasing an update every month with new free controls and bug fixes. You'll also be able to sponsor Extended WPF Toolkit by subscribing to a Plus edition of the toolkit. Subscribers will not only have the satisfaction of encouraging Xceed to keep rolling out one great update after another, but will also get answers to their questions and feature requests considered before anyone else's, and also get access to fast and private email support via a support email address.
