Possible bug with PropertyGrid ExpandableObject

Nov 10, 2011 at 3:23 PM

I'm using the ExpandableObject attribute to allow browsing down into objects.  I have a class like the following:

[ExpandableObject]

  public EmbeddedClass EmbeddedObject { get; set; }

If EmbeddedObject is non null, then the class name shows up and I can expand to edit the properties.  If it is null, the line is blank.  That all seems good.  The problem is that I want to be able to set this property to null or to an object while the PropertyGrid is displayed.  If it is null initially, then I set it to an instance of the object, the expandable part never appears.  And if I do the opposite, set it to an instance then set it to null, the expandable part stays there and when expanded the property fields show up but are all blank.

Is this a bug?

Sorry it has taken so long to respond.  Your question got lost and I forgot about it.  Could you provide a sample application to demonstrate what you are talking about?
