RichTextBox: XamlFormatter

Aug 15, 2011 at 11:46 AM

Hello,

i try to store a message with special characters (UTF-8) from german language (ä, ö, etc.).

i am using a RichTextBox with Xaml formatter:

<extToolkit:RichTextBox.TextFormatter>
     <extToolkit:XamlFormatter />
</extToolkit:RichTextBox.TextFormatter>

XamlFormatter does not support special characters. I get ?? instead of a special character.

PlainText and RichText as formatter do both support special characters.

Thx for any help,
Amosius

You can easily create your own custom formatter to support your language needs:

Yes, its really quite simple. I used the code for Xaml Formatter and now i can change the encoding charset.

Thx. Amosius
