DateTimeUpDown ValueChanged

Jul 26, 2011 at 2:24 AM

I recently switched to the latest develpment code. It appears the ValueChanged event does not trigger when using the keyboard to enter the time until after the control has lost focus. Is this by design? I want to make a Save button visible if the control has new data entered into it.

What is the difference between a DateTimeUpDown (Format=ShortTime) and a TimePicker?

I'm trying to find a good control to enter time using both the keyboard and mouse.

Yes this is by design.  Currently the UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged is not supported.  So the value will not update as you type.  The value is also updated when the Enter button is pressed on the keyboard.  The TimePicker differs by only allowing editing of time and provides a dropdown of time intervals to select from.

We don't require focus to be lost, how would we get the current value, if the user changes, for example, AM to PM, and simply clicked Save?
